Ask Kathleen Wynne to Refer Bill C36 to the Ontario Court
Our last chance, before starting all over again at the beginning, is to have Kathleen Wynne refer the newly signed bill C36 to the Ontario Court of Appeal for a constitutional reference. It is within her power.
She can decide not to peruse prosecutions under the new laws until she has an opinion on the laws from the court.
She doesn’t have to spend our sparse provincial dollars enforcing a law that is of questionable constitutional value.
She can walk the walk and stand up for the marginalized and vulnerable people she claims to want to protect.
I voted Liberal for the first time in my life, to support her party in the most recent election because I believed in the things she said. I hope my faith wasn’t misplaced.
Please, stand with us and show your support by writing a letter to Premier Wynne. To make it easy, Nikki Thomas has provided a form letter that you can use (and if you’re not from Ontario, you can send it to your own Premier, demanding similar action in your province!).
We need everyone’s help in this. If you believe that sex workers deserve to be able to work in peace, please help us do so.

I actually already went to her webpage where you can ask questions of her inquiring about this issue. If she knows how it may be enforced, either strictly or its a non issue for police. How it may be interruptered in the courts, and if she had any advise or suggestions on keeping ourselves safe. I did not even know that she had the power to do anything about it. I was feeling very disappointed and powerless before even with the support and optimism of the lovely Morgan Thorne via Twitter. Finding this out has made me feel a bit better and eager to make contact to hopefully get some power back in our courts. Let’s hope she is a practical, intelligent and non extreme Christian, Jew or any God fearing person. I will pass this along and hope that the show of support will be less…. Or I guess I should be more positive and hope it will just be more. Goodluck ladies
