Furry Convention Gas Attack – News Anchor LOSES IT!

A ‘furry’ convention at the Chicago-area Hyatt Regency Hotel was interrupted this past weekend, when the facility was evacuated and a hazmat team was called in after a strong chemical smell was reported on the 9th floor. As the furries evacuated from the 2014 Midwest FurFest convention huddled outside Anthroconto stay warm, the hazmat team discovered a substance they said was consistent with powered chlorine. The gas from the powder caused 19 people to be treated in hospital, though 18 were soon released. Police are investigating the furry convention incident as a criminal matter.

While many of the furries waited outside the hotel, nearby facilities welcomed others from the furry convention whose costumes didn’t provide enough warmth. Some even found shelter in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, which was hosting a dog-grooming trade show when the costumed furries entered.

The Morning JoeWhile the image of people wearing animal costumes walking into a dog show might bring a smile to your face, one news anchor couldn’t contain herself upon learning just what a ‘furry’ was!

Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’, lost her composure when she read the story displayed on the teleprompter, as footage rolled and it dawned on her what the convention was all about. The anchor hid her face, before leaving set and running away. One of her cool-headed co-hosts had to take over the read. See the video below!
