Jian Ghomeshi Facing Three More Charges

Former CBC Radio host Jian Ghomeshi appeared in court today, for what was thought to be the setting of a formal date for presentation of the preliminary findings in the investigation of sexual assault allegations.

Instead, Ghomeshi was charged with three new counts of assault, bringing the current total up to seven counts of sexual assault, and one count of overcoming resistance by choking.

His next court appearance will be February 4th, with defence lawyer Marie Henein appearing on his behalf.
